I'm 95% sure that it is not WS10a.

If they equip WS-10s on the August 1st J-10s it would mean that the WS-10 is ready for mass production. Unfortunately the engine in question are AL-31s. You can tell since there are two layers of exhaust petals.

not 100% about the first one, but the second one is clearly AL-31FN.

As for Deino's J-10 pictures, I don't think it should be that surprising that they are producing a lot of J-10s. J-11B production is pretty much zilch at this point, so they need a lot of J-10s to have more 4th gen regiments.

Could it be possible that the first pic is a very well done CG, ray-tracing?

I heard from a chinese source the J-10 fueslage is designed around AL-31FN. WS-10A might be dimensionally similar but apparently it will be more trouble putting it onto J-10 than J-11

I agree with You that it's surely not surprising.

However - and at the moment I have no list at hand - I wonder how many AL-31FN's do they still have left or how many are ordered altogether !) ??!
