"We should expect to strike government centers and possibly eliminate figures like Khamenei," the official told The Jerusalem Post
The big question is how many of these Iran have in their arsenal. If they can repeat multiple times or need to wait years for production to catch up.This video from Gaza shows how widespread and big the attack was. Three different areas recieved the strikes.
And Gazans cheered!
It was a saturation attack. Nonetheless, it was clearly visible in the videos that dozens of missiles were intercepted: I saw at least one exo-atmospheric kill.
BMD is largely ineffective against modern ballistic missiles. You can see in these videos that there's hardly any BMD even fired off by Israel. Just check the speed alone of the incoming BM and compare with previous videos of what Israel uses against Hezbollah/Palestine rockets.
That seems impractical. They don't know exactly where the missiles are headed. Which base would you empty out, which installation, which area cleared?
There are international civilian jetliners moving through the region. A courtesy warning helps them to clear out. Iran would not want a missile striking, for example, a Greek or German aircraft carrying civilian passengers. Although, this is on the foreign operators to continue operating in what is obviously a warzone; Iran is actually being courteous to them in this regard. Maybe these foreign operators want Iran to hit their jets so they can build a casus belli for war.
The attacks is reportedly on southern and central Israel.
Yes. We know the answer. Syria borders Lebanon. Bahrain, Yemen, Egypt, Libya do not border Lebanon.
The interception rate seems to be way lower than it was last time Iran did an attack. Like 10% at best.It was a saturation attack. Nonetheless, it was clearly visible in the videos that dozens of missiles were intercepted: I saw at least one exo-atmospheric kill.
Depends on which missiles you are talking about. For example this is the Fattah missile the Iranians have.Of all missiles, ballistic are the easiest to estimate where they are heading. They follow a ballistic arc, and the type Iran launched is easy to track in its boost phase.

Iran gave no such warning to airlines. A guy on a flight from Dubai posted a video of missiles flying eerily nearby their plane. It’s a testament to how advanced American-Israeli technology and training are that no airliners were harmed, despite hundreds of missiles in the air.
Was about to post this. This is footage of Palestinians in the West Bank parading a spent stage. It looks like a Fattah-1, with elongated fins extending past the base. The interception rate seems to be way lower than it was last time Iran did an attack. Like 10% at best.

It has enough range to hit Israel from Iran.
The last stage seems to be powered with a liquid rocket engine and is manueverable.
