Zionism is weird in that its origins aren't really religious but a bunch ethnically jewish atheists using judaism as pretext for colonization and genocide. They aren't a theocracy in an on itself but do use religion as a cover for the shit they do, which is why they have no issue on beating up the anti-zionists ultraorthodox jews like the Haredim
There is European colonial Zionism and then there is a much older traditional Zionism. The latter is entirely derived from scripture (i.e. "aliyah", ascent/return to Israel) and also the reason why most Jews (including the Ashkenazi) rejected the idea of modern Israel. The traditional one is entirely dependent on a Messiah (Moshiach) that arrives
first and then leads the Jews to Israel, second. Most Jews of the 20th century (and today) conceived their migration to US and Western Europe as Aliyah, with these new territories being their new mystical Israel.
The colonial Zionism is a modern invention which hijacked the traditional. Despite being invented by secular atheists, it employs the usage of religion to form the basis and foundation of [modern] Israel, except that they discard the requirement of Moshiach being present first. In particular, Israel's approach is of the Revisionist Zionism which calls for expansionism via settlements that are protected by the state (i.e. state-backed settler-colonialism).
Will these Africans also have to be sterilised before they get residency?
Also, this is highly revealing in the manpower shortages of the IDF. I hazard a guess we’ll start seeing Ukrainians style press gangs if the Israeli conscripts have not already fled.
The women are probably already sterilized. The men.. well.. it looks like they're being asked to be used as canon fodder.
Not only indicative of manpower shortage but also of an increasing number of evidences that the IOF regulars and current conscripts are terrified to step foot in Gaza.
I don't know how many prisoners the apartheid took in this war, but before the invasion started, the largest prison population was of African Jews who were not granted citizenship. These prisoners are probably the ones being offered the chance to become cannon fodder. Indeed, as
@plawolf put it, shooting two birds with one stone.
• citizen conscripts are paid only $100/month
• black Jews are incarcerated at a 760% higher rate
This is a dumb take. First of all the majority of Hezbollahs missiles are in deep underground bunkers. They released video of the Imad-4 base which is a reinforced concrete underground bunker in the mountains of Lebanon and likely Syria. It has missile silos that can fire from within the base which makes it difficult to track. They have come out saying they have dozens other bases like these. Second of all Hezbollah won’t use their more advanced weapons weapons unless there is a ground war. At that point they will target Israeli jets. Why? Because Israeli ground troops are dependent on air support. Why show their hand at this early stage. And last point is this a long war of attrition. Hezbollah’s drone and missile fire is to spread fear. Israel society is very fickle. 40% of the population fled the north. By expanding the the fire belt it means more towns will be emptying out as people will flee to the center of Israel. Hezbollah told
Netanyahu that his goal to return settlers to the north will not happen. This will further worse Israel’s economic crisis right now. Hezbollah fires cheap drones and rockets to drain Israel’s expensive and pitiful air defense systems. This is attrition.
Many people easily forget that Israelis are entirely foreign. Even the Israelis know this while they try to convince themselves they are indigenous. Themselves, their parents, and their grandparents migrated here and always have the option to migrate back and especially to Western Europe and USA who welcome them with open arms.
Unlike middleastern countries and probably most of the world, the locals always refuse to leave their homelands except in minimal numbers (Ukraine was an anomaly). You can bomb middleast but the population largely does not budge, whereas Israelis.. more than half a million fled within two months of Oct 7, even though their country did not receive that much material damage. That is a huge threat to Israel: fleeing Israelis. Even if Hezbollah strikes do not cause major material damage, the fear is compelling enough to flee abroad.
