BREAKING NEWS - Saudi Arabia ends "all negotiations" on normalization with Israel. Saudi Arabia informed US Secretary of State Antony Blinken that they are ceasing all talks on the normalization of relations with Israel - Jerusalem Post.
As expected. The last person who dared to compromise with Israel at such a time was Sadat, and then he died.

Presumably Hezbollah has large numbers of Iranian U(C)AV as well.

The key question now is which way Hezbollah will jump. I expect a lot of their troops and commanders are thinking "If not now, when? If not now, what are we for?" I expect them to enter the war once IDF enters Gaza and gets bogged down in street fighting.

I think the big question now is if Israel is angry and stupid enough to rush into Gaza quickly, or if they will just sit back and bomb them from afar while also starving them of basically everything but air.

The smart play from the Israelis would be to sit back and let logistics do the heavy lifting. It will create a humanitarian catastrophe, but without power and communications, the Israelis can effectively defer much of the world’s outrange until after its all over if it can keep videos from coming out of Gaza while the population die off en mass from thirst, starvation and disease.

The fear of such a move is probably why Hamas has taken so many Israeli hostages, to try to force Israel’s hand in moving in on the ground sooner rather than later.

Hamas is hoping that the need to free the hostages, and the daily rain of missiles that Iron Dome cannot fully deal with, will force Israeli into going in on the ground. In this, they seem to have the most unexpected allies, because Israeli politicians and even military commanders seem to have fully drank the Kool Aid on the myth of Israeli military invincibility and seem to want to send in the tanks ASAP to win back some of the face they lost earlier.

But if the Israelis do go in on the ground in a rush, they will seriously risk suffering an even more humiliating humbling by Hamas. Not only would Hamas still be near to full strength, the Israelis might learn to their cost that their called up reservists are little better than the Russian mobliks they love to mock despite their mandatory military service, when pulled from civilian life with little to no refresher training after years or even decades since they did their mandatory service, and with poor equipment and depleted logistics due to support for Ukraine.

On paper, ROC probably have them beat due to sheer standing militia size and at least having an vestigial airforce. But in regards to their ISR, command chain, skill and rocket arsenal, Hezbollah should be stronger.
I remember when some Taiwanese milbloggers arguing that the current Taiwanese conscription system is flawed and they should emulate the Israeli system, I wonder what is he thinking right now after seeing this clusterfuck.

Just want to say really quickly that I have an uncomfortable but truthful elephant in the room that I think we are all thinking, but not saying out loud.

...

If China is lucky the Murikkkunts will be stupid enough to actually deploy in Israel. Or at the very least engage in a second proxy-war.

What exact line up is the other team going to have whether it's Iran, Lebanon, Hezbollah, Egypt, etc. is beside the point.

What is important and what is the point is that if Murica opens a second front proxy-war or a real war (although even I will admit that I don't believe the second scenario will happen) then that's another pipeline of resources, money, weapons, munitions, supplies, and political will/morale being wasted on Israel. A waste that they cannot afford, and a waste that will absolutely make a difference on how aggressive they feel like they're going to be towards China in 10 years when Taiwan comes begging for help after swallowing the 9,000th cumload from the western slavemasters.

Now even if you are thinking that the American government is still stupid enough to go to war after losing their fortunes and stockpiles on not one but 2 proxy-wars then I would say you aren't necessarily incorrect, but you are missing the second half of the story. Which is that this second proxy-war means America using up resources both physical and otherwise (excessive and continuous wars with little rest between means that the next war your population simply gives up sooner) that they will now no longer have against China.

The more Amurica wastes things in Ukraine and Israel the less they have in WestPac.

Pray (or whatever) that we are that lucky. Pray that they are that stupid. China needs to catch a lucky break already.

And yes I'm well aware that if this supposed lucky break comes it will come at the cost of lives and pain for the people of the Middle-East. More so than they've already had to endure, but the truth is that if they endure it then China will not have to suffer.

It's an unfortunate reality, and I don't relish the thought nor do I enjoy it. Quite the contrary, I wish that Murica and these hateful fucking Muricans would just finally realize that they have been the bad guys all along.

But we here on SDF know that this is never going to happen.

Not until China obliterates them as badly as the Opium Wars. Only after they've been humbled the way an arrogant boxer or MMA fighter gets humbled by a superior opponent will they finally have a moment of self-awareness and take a good look in the mirror.

A few other things I want to say since I'm already here anyways.

1) Those of you wondering about Hamas' end goal...I honestly believe that Hamas and many Palestinians have already weighed their options and mentally accepted the reality of their future. That they have none. At least at the current rate. At the current rate they will soon lose for good and either finally breathe the last breath of man who's dying by the torture of 1,000 cuts, and they know this...therefore they've decided that we're just going to fight to the death one last time and be done with it. If any of you have ever wrestled with some mental health demons you'll know that one of the reasons why suicide happens so much is that there's a certain calmness and maybe even a little comfort in knowing that, soon, it's all going to be over finally. Many suicide survivors say this BTW. That after they made the decision they were finally happy for the first time in a longggggg time. Sad. makes you wish the world wasn't such an awful place sometimes.

2) Anybody who thinks that there is some Russian conspiracy behind this is just a Russophobic asshole. You will forgive me for being so blunt and direct, but that's the truth. I mean Jesus Christ man after all we've seen about how negative and angry the west is towards Russia and China you still believe in this idiotic 'idea' that it's these dastardly and evil Russians who are up to no good. This is as truthful as all those conspiracy theories of China doing whatever maniacally evil plan in Xinjiang.

3) This utter failure of the IDF, Mossad, and just Israeli military and war stuff in general should not come as a surprise to anyone if you actually know anything about Jewish history. When have the Jews ever been good at war? NEVER!! That's when. Yet, somehow immeidately after the Holocaust. The worst genocide they've ever suffered they somehow become the world's best military (according to Pro-Israel geniuses) or one of the best...? Huh?!? You seriously even thinking this through? Does that even sound like it makes logical sense??? And there's no discernible or explainable reason for why they suddenly went from being the victim to becoming the next best superhero? Oh and I'm sure all those Western countries boosting them, supporting them, buffing them, and hard-carrying them TOTALLYYYYYYYYY had nothing to do with it right? Lol oh...emmmm...geeeeeee.

4) Finally, notice that no such massive attack has happened in Xinjiang. Like ever. The worst was an instance of mass stabbing. About 30 deaths from what I remember. Lol ya if there was any genocide of Uighur Muslims in Xinjiang then surely something like this would've happened right? Especailly since us Chinese are so stupid, so incompetentent, so uncreative, etc. right? Since us Chinese have a paper tiger military and a paper tiger this and a paper tiger that right? Surely, such a buncha idiotic, lazy, incompetent, and paper tiger military would never have been able to defeat an attack like this and surely if the Palestinians are able to pull this off largely on their own then the Uighurs whom number far more than Palestinians and are right next to numerous Muslim countries along with being close to American military bases in Afghanistan surely they could've pulled something like this off too right? Yet nothing of the sort happened.

There is no Uighur Genocide. Let this be yet more proof of that.
the problem is that american foreign policy is trapped in a fallacy. every time it tries to pivot towards China, away from other regions, those regions blow up, resulting in the need to commit even more resources to quell them.

That ignores the fact that Israel doesn't completely surround Gaza, there's a border with Egypt. Although the Egyptian government is pretty friendly with Israel, there are limits to what it'll tolerate. It won't accept a flood of Gazan refugees trying to force their way through the border.
