China is in a unique position to unite any nation they want. They are the next super power and have no history or invasions or toppling democracies so almost everyone respects them other then the west and their few lackeys . If the Palestinians cannot see that this is for their own long term benefit then their future is doomed. Also the Suadi-Iran reconciliation is not just face saving, it is a foot in the right direction. They have been at each others throat for a long time and restoring peace among them will require a lot of time and diplomacy and the only one that can do this is China.
