Praiseworthy initiative but not gonna work out. The factions are too divided and the Chinese know this. It's just for 'face'.
Just like the Saudi-Iran 'reconciliation'.

I beg to differ bro, If they don't unite under the Chinese auspices, then there goes their dream of having a Palestinian state. Now is the opportune time to seize the moment.

Regarding the Saudis monarchy, diplomatic ambiguity is essential for its existence.

China was as much divided if not more over 100 years ago so never say never. Lessons from China's experience are perhaps the best hope for a more equitable Palestinian statehood.
Yup a perfect example is the united front against the Japanese, it led to Japan destruction cause it laid bare the Japanese inadequacy. The same fate awaits the Israelis the longer the conflict continue.
