It is very possible it was a crash. Helicopters are quite dangerous, and especially given the conditions they were flying in, a crash isn’t out of the question as a possibility.
That’s very true. Also the weather could have been the problem with the dense fog and rain.
But few will believe this was an accident. This happens only two months after Iran’s retaliatory strike on Israel. Israel’s response was so muted it almost qualifies as symbolic. No one really believed Israel would let that go given their past MO.
The area of the crash is also suspicious. Raisi’s plane went down in an area that borders Azerbaijan, which is one of Iran’s least friendly neighbors, maintains formal relationship with Israel, and has a history of cooperating with Mossad.
Iran is barely keeping it together these days.
