I'm curious why austria and especially hungary voted against the UN resolution, ideas?
I don't know about Austria but for Hungary I wonder if it has to do with Ukraine and preventing another migration into Europe. Orban probably know of the overwhelming support for Palestine at the UNGA. So by voting against the UNGA resolution, he might be hoping that the US / West would support his peace plan with respect to Ukraine.

, and it appears he is more concerned about another mass migration into Europe as well.
Orban:...so you should know just to make [it] clear from a European point of view and from a Hungarian point of view. There is two countries in the region of the Southern part of the Mediterranean. It's Israel and Egypt, which [if] any of them become unstable, the migration flows from that direction; [migrants] will come to Europe immediately. So, we have to stabilize those countries. And this region stability is the interest of the Europeans...
It's interesting that Orban sees Israel as an unstable country. I guess Netanyahu's political scheming is really destabilizing Israel. I considered talk of Israel heading towards civil war as an exaggeration. Maybe Orban is hoping that the war against Gaza would unify Israel which would stabilize the nation. But I can't see how it would stabilize Egypt as internal political pressure would build up. As far as I know, Egypt despises Hamas and wouldn't mind seeing Israel wipe them out. The problem is that it's impossible to wipe out Hamas as they enjoy considerable grass roots support. Innocent civilians will be killed during the invasion and that only provides Hamas with a larger pool of people to recruit from.

So what is the reaction of Hezbollah and Iran right now?
The Hezzies had targeted Israeli military sites of Abu Dajaj, Misgav Am and al-Sadh anti-tank guided missiles (ATGM) and other suitable weapons. According to the Hezzies, they took out some Israeli troops at al-Sadh. They also attacked Israeli military sites of Ruwaisat al-Alam, al-Samaqa and Zabidin in the Israeli-occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms and Kfar Shouba Hills.
Any update? Seems eerily quiet for a ground invasion
Or are they just jerking themselves off at the fence?
