Day operations from Charle De Gaulle

If one refers to converging sources, these are four Rafale Marine patrols that have been used for strikes today (two CAS, two AI), and at least a fifth was used for a reconnaissance flight with pod Reco-NG.
No indication was delivered on the activity of SEM and Hawkeye.

Around 8 am (French time), two Rafale Marine patrols were catapulted GAN to join the Iraqi theater. Each consisting of two hunters, two army reconnaissance missions were intended to support the Iraqi forces against Daech directly involved in areas of Ramadi and Mosul.

In Ramadi, the strikes have knocked out a group of terrorists. An artillery position Daech which was firing on Iraqi troops was destroyed in Mosul. In total, the operation lasted nearly seven hours. The four French fighters were refueled by coalition aircraft.

These air missions are conducted in coordination with the air operations center for the coalition (CAOC) at Al Udeid in Qatar

Total day and night from Charle De Gaulle minimum 14 sorties + 1/2 E-2C : 16
First mission Arromanches 1 in march/april about 10/15 by day.

Unfortunately we have clashes between Shiite fighters and Kurds also..

Hundreds Recruited to Shiite Militia Set to Fight Against Kurds in Iraq

Iraqi anti-ISIL Shiite militia and Kurdish forces have been in constant confrontation. This month, the stand-off turned violent. Local media reports that Shiite Kurds are taking part in the Shiite militia in this sharp conflict among anti-Jihadi ranks.

The Iran-backed Hashd al-Shaabi Shiite militia has recruited some 5,000 fighters in its ranks in recent months, including approximately 1,800 Shiite Kurds, who may take part in clashes with mainly Sunni Kurdish forces of Peshmerga, an anonymous local military official told the Kurdish Rudaw news outlet.

“They have an entire brigade for the Kurdish recruits in Khanaqeen, fully armed and funded,” he was quoted as saying by Rudaw. “Even the commander of the brigade is a Shiite Kurd.”

Intermittent clashes between the Popular Mobilization Units, as Hashd al-Shaabi’s name is translated, and the Peshmerga flared up on November 12 at a Kurdish checkpoint in Tuz Khurmatu, a multi-ethnic town lying on the main highway between Baghdad and Kirkuk. The clashes lasted for at least three days and reportedly claimed lives of 21 persons on both sides, including civilians, and multiple arrests. The stand-off is complicated by active engagement of civilians.

“Violence in Khurmatu has resulted in the death and wounding of 21 people, including seven Kurds and others from Arabs and Turkmens of the city,” Jabar Yawar, chief of staff of the Peshmerga ministry, told Rudaw last week.

Analysts point to the rivalry over control of territories across Iraq and historical Sunni-Shiite contradictions as possible reasons for violent confrontation. While Peshmerga represents mostly Sunni Kurds, Hashd al-Shaabi recruits Arabs, Turkmens and Shiite Kurds to its ranks.

The town of Tuz Khurmatu’s disputed status was to be decided after a referendum, being continuously postponed since 2007. Earlier this fall, the Peshmerga forces and Shiite militias entered the city to take it under joint control during an ISIL offensive west of Kirkuk.

Local Islamic clergy has raised its voices to urge Peshmerga and Hashd al-Shaabi to stop the clashes and ease tensions and concentrate on fighting the common enemy, ISIL, instead.

“All hands should join and unite their energy to fight the real terrorists and the war should not be diverted from its course,” a major Shiite cleric Abdul-Mahdi said in a sermon in Karbala, as cited by Rudaw.

Colonel
It appears that everyone is fighting everyone over there!
At this point in time the only way to have some semblance of sanity is to have a strong armed dictator to at least keep things under control.
I never thought I say this but folks like Assad, gadhafi, saddam knew what they were doing.
At the end of the day Sunnis will always fight Shias and Shias will always fight Sunnis. There is absolutely no resolution to that... Except to install a brutal semi secular dictator with no deep adhesion to either Shia or Sunni ideology. In other words we need to resurrect the corpse of saddam and gadhafi.

"amazing" of how much care was taken to not to hurt "innocent" or to avoid collateral damage. Who is ISIS really? No wonder the year long airstrike never worked.
Phoney US strikes like always. War on Terror only helped, no wonder when they bomb only empty toyota trucks and hit terrorists with money backs and ammunition and weapon crates.

Hehe that's Obama for you. Everyone knows as far as Syria is concerned, the US primary goal is to regime change Assad and hence aid those ''moderate rebels'' to overthrow the Assad govt. They weren't really that interested in fighting ISIS, it was a secondary concern or not really a concern at all.

That has nothing to do with Obama that is not his policy he is just a figurehead for the population to blame on in case when shit hits the fan. The elites in private sector are controlling the politics not the president. Politics in US are always adjusted to the figureheads image, if his image doesn't fit they boast it the way they need to make politics. After Obama and the image of his weak politics along with destruction of his reputation in public via FOX News which is still the most watched in US, the people will be indoctrinated to want a total hardlining president so they will vote for Clinton under her politics will be only and exclusivley hardlined in rhetoric and in action that will bring us much closer to WW3 then ever before. Some may do not like what i said but democracy does not exist and the president is preselected by opinion making and it wont be good for US citizens nor for rest of the world.

The meeting between Putin and khamenei was very warm and friendly , and the main subject was also Syrian civil war...

It seems that both of them were very happy

Iran reliable ally for Russia

TEHRAN, Nov. 23 (MNA) – Russian President Vladimir Putin has told Leader of the Islamic Republic no power would impose its will on Syrian people and decide on their behalf on Syrian future political structure.
Leader’s official website report quoted Mr. Putin’s remarks in his meeting with Ayatollah Khamenei earlier on Monday, where Mr. Putin expressed gratitude for meeting with the Leader; “bilateral relations between Iran and Russia in diverse fields as aerospace and technologies has taken a rapid turn, and we are happy that Russia along with Islamic Republic of Iran, has played an active role in resolving regional and international crises,” he told the Leader.

Putin also praised the Islamic Republic as an independent and strong country with bright futures on the horizons; “Russia considers Iran as a reliable ally in the region and the world at large; we are committed to a general avoidance of betraying our partners and stabbing our friends coming out of the dark, and are committed to negotiation and diplomacy in solving any differences,” Mr. Putin said figuratively.

Putin described Iranian and Russian positions on Syria very close; “we both emphasize that crisis in Syria will be solved only if all Syrian groups of all ethnicities participate in elections and that world powers recognize this political means to bring stability to the country; we strongly believe that no country is in a positon to decide on behalf of Syrians on their future government,” he emphasized.

Putin emphasized upon the continuing nature of air strikes against terrorist strongholds in Syria and believed Tehran-Moscow sharing beliefs was necessary for a diplomatic solution; “countries with a claim to democracy could not oppose to elections in Syria,” he concluded.

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says the long-term US plot for Western Asia is against the interests of all countries, particularly Iran and Russia, urging vigilance and close interaction to thwart the scheme.

In a meeting with visiting Russian President Vladimir Putin in Tehran on Monday, Ayatollah Khamenei said the US has a long-term plot to take control of the whole of West Asia by dominating Syria and then expanding its dominion over the entire region, saying, “This plot is a threat to all nations and countries, particularly Russia and Iran.”

The Leader hailed Russia’s influential role in regional issues, particularly in the Syrian conflict, and said Moscow’s decisions and measures in dealing with developments in Damascus enhanced the regional and international standing of Russia and President Putin in particular.

“The Americans have always been trying to place their rivals in a position of passivity but you have foiled such a policy,” Ayatollah Khamenei said.

The US and its followers are seeking to achieve through political means and negotiations the objectives that they have failed to obtain via military approaches, the Leader said, adding vigilance and a proactive stance are necessary to prevent this goal from being realized.

Ayatollah Khamenei said Washington’s insistence on the ouster of Syria’s legitimate and democratically-elected President Bashar al-Assad is among the weaknesses of the US policies.

He said the Syrian president, in a national election, succeeded in winning the majority of votes of the Syrian people with “different political, religious and ethnic” viewpoints and emphasized that the US has no right to ignore the Syrians’ choice.

The Leader said every solution on the Syrian crisis should be endorsed by the country’s nation and officials.
