Is it now? Really?
Please someone explain to me which ‘international law’ allows navies to intercept foreign ships in international waters for allegedly breaching non-UN sanctions?
If China or Russia announced unilateral sanctions on say Japan, does anyone here think the west would just say ‘fair enough’ for Chinese and Russian warships to intercept commercial shipping in international waters heading to or from Japan?
Interestingly no source mention S-125 systems in Iran's hand.Among the U.S.' designated targets was the S-125 Neva/Pechora surface-to-air missile system, a Soviet system known to the NATO Western military alliance as SA-3 Goa, a Pentagon official told Newsweek. This weapon was believed by the U.S. military to have been used by Iran's Revolutionary Guards in Thursday's downing of a Navy RQ-4A Global Hawk drone, though the elite Iranian force the domestically produced 3rd Khordad transporter erector launcher and radar, a variant of the locally-made Raad surface-to-air missile system.
I think Plawolf's "IF" was not a suggestion of China or Russia doing the same, but rather to make clear the illegality of "seizure of Iranian tanker", and also present the "double standard" nature of the west.Come on, don't be naive. Everybody knows that might makes right to the likes of the US and Britain. They don't want Iran/Syria getting things done so they'll just do everything they can to prevent it. There's no such thing as law or decency to them. That's why the US is so desperate to sabotage the rise of Chinese power. China's far out of Britain's league to bully but the US still dreams of a weakened China that must play by American rules or have no recourse to defend itself from the repercussions. Iran, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, all they did wrong was be too weak to defend their interests against bullying. We just need to make sure China is at the opposite end of the power spectrum.

Spain ought to make sure that they demand Britain expulsion out of Gibraltar before they exit from the European Union. That territory belongs to Spain, not Britain and we are no longer living in the colonial era anymore.
