You should just give her tips in monopoly dollars, lol.

It's probably not to good to deliberately piss off waiters though, they're the ones who handle your food afterall.

I ain't paying no mandatory 25% tip regardless of how badly I'm served.

Typo? But yeah tips are no longer tips if it is mandatory, then it is just the restaurant passing on expenses to the customer.

I always get stopped at a metal detector for an extra check. I have not been on a plane since before 9-11, so I've never had experienced what happens at an airport. I imagine I would get sent to the special room. Sometimes it is the fault of the employees. Here in San Francisco they're thinking of making it a law to force people to pay 25% tip at restaurants. Hell no! I heard a radio program once where they interviewed waiters and waitresses and they admitted they treat customers according to racial stereotypes on tipping. Me and my friends, who are caucasion, enjoy a nice prime rib dinner. We all order it the same way. So we go to a steak restaurant and we order the same thing all the way to how it's cooked. When the dinner comes, the waitress is about to put the dish in front of me first and then she suddenly stops and gives it to my friend instead. So when all out plates are on the table, I notice I have the ugliest cut, it looks a little smaller than the others, and there's a big piece of fat in my prime rib. I ain't paying no mandatory 25% tip regardless of how badly I'm served.

I've never really had the feeling that I was being treated shoddily because I am Asian before, where did this happen? and you being stopped in airport security is kind of baffling.

It's San Francisco. The land of hypocrisy and irony. No typo hence the irony.

Like I said, I haven't been on a plane since before 9-11. Metal detectors... jury duty at the courthouse.

Cashiers always check my $20 bills. I often wonder if I should pay attention if I see if caucasions get their bills checked.

I'm black and any big bill I hand over gets checked. My wife is white and the same thing happens to her. Merchants need to protect themselves against counterfeit cash in the US.

Once some years ago in a Wal-mart in San Diego this Mexican couple was caught trying to use fake $50 bills for a purchase. they were detained and arrested. I was in line and saw the whole thing.

arrested? they must've used a lot of fake $50 bills at once? otherwise any innocent dude can end up with a fake bill unintentionally...

once a mcdonald's cashier told me that my $10 bill was fake... which was not, it was an older edition that didnt have the line of silver markings. i think cashiers should be trained to handle these situations better.

speaking of which, when my family exchanged some yuan for canadian dollars in Hongkong back in 2004, the HSBC there gave us $1000 bills. When we tried to deposit them at our bank, those tellers had to search for their ultimate canadian bill book to check and make sure those bills were legit. apparently they had never seen those bills before :D

There was an incident in San Francisco a few years back where a Filipino man who went to a chain drug store and used an old $100 bill that didn't have all the measures they do now to prevent counterfeiting. The cashier couldn't tell if it was fake and called the manager over to see. The manager couldn't tell and he called the police. The police came and arrested the Filipino man and put him in jail. The police called the Secret Service and they came over and checked the bill and told the police it was real. They let him go.

I had a friend once go to K-Mart and try to use a two dollar bill and nobody from the cashier to the managers would accept it because they never seen nor heard of a two-dollar bill.
