I never have heard of this group..of course I never heard of the Black Eyed Peas until my son introduced me to them... Mahal ko ang Filipino mga tao!

These persons gave a concert in Beijing. I have no idea what they sound like I don't listen to music on purpose. Ever..

That's Avril Lavigne though... not the black eyed peas (nor fergie from the BEP). But her music is a bit better than theirs.

I stated I never heard of the Black eyed peas until my son introduced me to them.

This could be considered an interesting video.

No problem. My oldest son works in the entertainment biz as a grip and he did "day play" for the BEP once. And introduced me and my ex-wife who is from the Philippines.

If I may ask further... What's a grip (security or set management or something?), what's a "did play" and by "introduced you and your ex wife" do you mean he introduced the two of you to them (BEP)?! :O

Grips are lighting and rigging technicians in the film,video industries also sometimes stage hands for concerts and special appearances.

"Day play" means that you are on call to work a production at a moments notice.

My son called me to where the location of the concert and I took my ex-wife and we chatted with the BEPs. The next day my ex took them some home made Filipino food.

Another time my son was working on a made for TV movie starring Dean Cain called "The Perfect Husband: The Laci Peterson Story" in 2004. Dean Cain asked my son was he part Asian. He told him yes. and they talked and Dean Cain mentioned he loved Filipino food. Guess what? My son told his mom and she made more Filipino food and took it to the set.

Do you know who Troy Polamalu is? He play football with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He saw my son on the set of one of his commericals for a shampoo and asked him was he Samoan. My son told him he was black and Filipino. Troy says.."Close enough" or words to that effect. This time no food. the ex was not driving to Oceanside to deliver chow.
