Do we have any credible sources? In my opinion the boots are one of the more pressing issues for the Type-21 kit in general. The vest is fine (if worn properly and with plates), the BDUs are fine (as long as they aren't made of polyester), and at least the helmet system is being reworked probably for a better NVG.
I feel like cctv should just do a special on the issue, it would force them to act quickly. You absolutely CANNOT have soldiers wearing shitty boots.

that tiny of a shield though ? for riot contorl wouldn't you want a bigger one ? since they might thorw stones at you
I don't think these are for riot control. Rather for another cqc fight similar to what happened 2 years ago. If it's that kind of fight then large shields won't be as useful as this. You want something that can block hard swings without compromising mobility and handling.
