Maybe later than sooner, the latest news I've seen is they're trying to make it work with "improved durability" variants. No major redesign to get rid of the zipper though, so at best it only delays the blowout
Honestly they should just allow their soldiers get their own boots as long as the boots meet a certain criteria produced by the military. The US military does this, and it is a good standard so far.

Another image of the NVD of the CN/LN2 smart soldier system, this time flipped down.

Very much in the same family as its commercial cousin the ADNV-GF31 (which isn't much of a surprise as they're very likely a CSGC subsidiary). Definitely interesting to see China South marketing the soldier system on the trade floor with the thermal fusion binos over the relatively cheaper mono offering (shows they think it'll be more attractive to international clients). I'm inclined to agree this marketed setup is nice compared to the current PLA version in unit testing.

Is a zipper on a boot really a bad thing? I don't know much of military wears.

The supposed pros are: breathibility, no need to tie laces, and waterproof capability
However, based on my experience along with others' I have seen online, they break easily, screw with the fit of the boot (this is incredibly important for rucking), and hard to repair. Plus, according to the US military regulation on boots, AR-670-1, zippers are banned. The PLAGF messed up hard on this one, and this is important given how bad boots can lead to soldiers being combat ineffective.

Why does these Flack Jacket looks so lose, bare minimum, no rigidity and no padding at all at sholders ? Is it because they aren’t using plate armor ? Also does PLA use tactical belt or all the pouches are part of the vest?
