New vests and body armor for UN peace keepers, who had been previously issued the Type-15 system (2nd image). Note the new neck and upper-arm armor as well as the quick-release shoulder straps.

Also, on the vest, there are FirstSpear tubes that attach the cummerbands to the front of the vest, and it looks like the magazine pouches have a more box like shape with flaps that fully cover the front and top of the magazine:

This indicates that feedback from the troops are definitely being received and implemented.

Three high-resolution images of the new body armor and vests for UN peace keepers in Mali. The new gears are being worn by peace keepers who have just arrived to relieve the previous contingent. You can see the soldiers of the previous contingent still wear the older style vests and armor.
