Technically the PLA doesn't release genuine article into the market (i.e. no surplus), to the point they'd recycle old uniform fabric into other items.

That being said, most are replica but that depends on the quality of the ware.
Not exactly a replica if you order from same factory making the same product using the same suppliers.

Failing that you can still get a different factory using same suppliers, and etc. Industrial products actually has a lot in common depending on part availibility.

Brave of you to assume civilians will still be able to purchase genuine military grade optics during a total war scenario involving China.

A few more pictures of the same instruction

We have images of a past similar piece of hardware, below here, which is a bit noticeably bulkier and heavier.

I do wonder if the smaller one in the above pictures is a newer, more lightweight version with the same capabilities as the larger one or if they are complementary, but both definitely look consistent with the kind of target acquisition or designator one would expect for fires platforms, including for things like air support, though of course the way this hardware is actually utilized is as much doctrinal and training dependent as hardware dependent.

Probably the same function in a smaller package.
Quite interesting, imo, that the older TD shown above has one less optics window, and a small control keypad (?) right under it. Probably for pressing the "laze" and rangefind button and such.
On the other hand the new TD has no "pad" of anykind. Maybe the interface is placed either on the top or around the eyepiece? Would be kinda more.
Cabling is another interesting upgrade. The older TD has the sockets forward, requiring the operator to either lean forward or turn the device around. The new one got it placed on the side instead, which would be far more easier to access.
Most of the upgrades seems to be centered around improving ergonomic attributes so far.

What unit are the guys in this video? They seem really well equipped and I'm wondering if PLA SOF has mostly all advanced to this level of equipment, or is this dedicated to police style / SWAT units? It seems that they certainly have the money to equip operators with top-tier equipment, so it should be quite easy to extend that to the SOF of PLA (which we see without earpros, and just the regular mono digital night vision).

IIRC PAP (swat) is funded by the local government and (if allowed) can purchase foreign attachments ie optics, lasers, etc. PLA SOF on the otherhand is limited to domestically made equipment. All the pics and videos I've seen of PLA sof featured domestic gear.
