2 points mainly
1-Muzzle flash is almost gone when using suppressor.
2-The crack for the enemy isn't quite directional ,when you hear it sounds almost omnidirectional. So a suppressor makes it harder to figure out where you are firing from.
I think he was asking what are the chances suppressors get mass adoption.

It’s an OK post that summarized the overall improvements of the average PLA grunt’s equipment. However there were some notable mistakes:
1. the helmet the user showed was the QGF-03, as another user pointed out. The helmets that are being distributed right now are the QGF-15.
2. While the Twitter user did extensively talk about digital vs analog nod’s in a pretty accurate way, they failed to mention how the Chinese NOD is actually a multi functional digital NOD that can take pictures, provide basic IFF, and live stream. Analogs need additional attachments to achieve those functionalities, which would increase the weight on the user’s head.
3. The user thought the flashlight attached to the helmet was for actual fighting. They are in reality used for searching for things, not for fighting.
4. Chinese civilian body armor actually works well. You can find that on YouTube. Also a Russian soldier praised Chinese body armor that stop mortar shrapnel and 5.45. I believe you can find it in this thread.
5. For the rifle, if I am not mistaken, it is basically based on the AR platform with some significant mods and is not an AK-AR hybrid.

General
Blue Force wearing German Flecktarn camouflage. I don't remember seeing that before.

All these new uniforms and advanced personal gear like NVG and tablets that we see in this thread, how widespread are they in the PLA? Are they being mass adopted? I have been reading this thread for many years now and I haven't seen any post regarding adoption rates, numbers or such.

They were first introduced in 2019 and its already been 4 years now, so it should have widespread adoption by now if they were serious about it.

Unlike aircraft and ships, it is much much harder to determine the rate of adoption of equipment. The only way to determine whether or not it is being deployed all over the place is via the photos they release.

Uniforms is the most widespread so far, we already stop seeing soldiers in Type 07 uniform anymore. But we still seeing old style helmet with new covering.

While that has yet reach 100% rollout as of late, most educated guess put it that the higher-tier outfits (those that has more pressing OpFor concern) have a priority of such. We still see ship crews wearing the old smurf camo, as well as PLANMC.
