Ever heard of laundry service? PLA forces are not on external war perpetual foreign deployments, it’s easy to keep kit clean at home base and now totally wear out from endless rotations.
And of course those was a posed shot. Doesn’t take away from the kit that has been issued.

Reposting from the news and pics thread, the plate carrier he's running is an MPCS PX-1, from PSIGEAR (a domestic brand.) PSIGEAR's products, on top of seeing use among the better equipped Chinese MIL/LEO, has become pretty popular with overseas end users, such as the Thais and Indonesians
And notably, some use in USASOC
So whats the point with Xingkong camouflage? If they just gonna use Multicam then might aswell rely on multicam
Just my personal speculation, due to how common multicam is it's likely useful for environments where sticking out too much isn't desirable. Wearing xingkong (as of now at least) just announces "I'm Chinese" to anyone who sees it.
Also note that multicam and a variant of the multicam clone that lost to xingkong during trials is used by police tactical units in a certain area.

The QBZ-95-1 isn't in service among other countries, and the user didn't say that the picture is from a movie or something like that. So, I would say that person in the photo is definitely a Chinese soldier.Not American and not Chinese so I'm lost... is this inside or outside China?
US Marsoc and Special Forces operators wore M81 camouflage to blend in with the ANA military. Since AZaz09dude is being secretive, I reckon that this soldier is doing some sort of secret stuff (maybe some secret squirrel action), or he is pulling our legs.
It seemed that the new type 19 gear and xingkong is designed buy Huntec. \
Although the wikipedia said Jiangsu Casdilly Dress is the designer it should noted that at some time huntec was a subgroup of Casdilly (Casidlly Website)
(Information I got from cause the pics showed the exact same vest as the new one but with a different camo same with the helmet)

It's really hard to find reliable information even on Chinese web since PLA is so secretive.
Im starting to assume those helmets are old aswell, Just compatible rail attachment that can be attached onto the old helmets.
