Interesting images of Special Force Unit equipped with High quality expensive gear
Most of these were purchased specifically for the upcoming shooting competition. While it's possible some of these specific products might see wider general use, for now it's better treated as a costume that also meets the requirements of the competition. TBH I think if the PLA had their way, they wouldn't even even show up with ear/eye protection and gloves. It's not "high quality expensive gear" either, since that connotation implies it being equivalent to offerings from big names like Crye, L3, and Ops Core. Not saying what they have is bad or doesn't work, but it's lower grade and cheaper for sure.

they are wear

Are they wearing their body armor too low? It’s supposed to cover your chest/heart right?
The shooting instructor explained that it's on purpose to get better shoulder to stock contact in response to the Russians mandating having plates in. Keep that in mind the next time people try to pass off competition results as being indicative of combat effectiveness.

Some more images of the NVG and another picture Im Uncertain of wether if its demonstrated look rather than what gear will be issued to infrantry men.
There was originally supposed to be a night time shooting event, but it's currently unclear whether it's still going happen.

He is referring to their plate carriers.

Yes, everything appears to be too loose or not fitted well. Can imagine that vest is bouncing around as they runs

If the carriers hold no plates, then whether they are worn low or loosely is kind of irrelevant and probably shouldn't be taken as a sign of standard or widespread practice.

They do have plates in. It's mandatory for the competition. In fact that's the reason why they're being worn so poorly- they're trying to game it to their advantage to get better stock to shoulder contact. Although based on released practiced footage, the Russians aren't doing the same, while also seeming to perform better than the Chinese team. So it might actually be a training and/or gear problem in the first place.

Hmmm, to my eyes they are just empty carriers. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If you’re not at least packing a dummy plate then there is no point in participating. These may seem a sport but it’s training. If you are participating you should be training as you are expected to be fighting.
