Why is the handlebar like thing facing the front for? Seem that it just give people a convenience spot to grab and try pull the shield away from you.
That would thing is going to have some heft to it. The handle is so you can easily pull it back up if it ends up flat on the ground (for example if you had to drop it to free you hand to grab weapons/gear/teammates etc.

As others have already pointed out, this is a SWAT breaching ballistic shield. If a hostile is still alive when he gets close enough to grab the shield, you are doing it wrong.

So soldiers are allowed to bring mobile phones on duty? or are those special kind of devices?
As what sunbud has said. Also the new chest digital interface is essentially a special version of huawei mate 20 so maybe he's using that considering what appears like a camouflaged phone case.

Those photos are shot at their quarters/barracks. There is nothing wrong with selfies in the barracks. The uniform does not really have much OPSEC value in itself.

From what I heard on Sina, some corporal was busted down to PVT for leaking selfies in the field recently. So there are monitors and control measures.
