Regarding this news, I'm curious as to what are India's sensor capabilities wrt space (EO, SAR), Over the horizon radars, UAVs, AWACs etc. Besides these they would need sensor fusion technology to achieve a coherent firing solution for long distances. This is unless the US has assured India that they would provide them with all these capabilities in a war against China. Unless India develops said capabilities reliably, all these weapons systems are rendered unusable. Peacetime firing of Brahmos, Pralay, Agni etc would be quite different from wartime scenarios where the Indian military will face layers of EM interference/ jamming (as seen in the Pakistani Swift Retort operation that eventually led to capturing of that IAF pilot). I continue seeing Indian military photo ops and announcements of weapons procurements but no information on how the Indian military plans to fit all these systems in their doctrine...or whether they have any doctrine whatsoever, cannot even find any Indian defence white paper detailing the doctrine except for vague concepts of "Two front war" "Cold Start" etc. Can anyone point me to a detailed analysis of the Indian military's current or planned capabilities development plans?

Shit.

I believe their missiles use GPS for guidance. The Indian version of GPS was a failure. They used atomic clocks bought from Europeans because they couldn't make their own. The problem is they didn't bother radiation proofing them properly and they failed pretty soon after being launched.
