I find the underestimation of RuAF very amusing. Second most powerful strategic bomber force and you are telling me UK and France are ahead?
Anyway this is way off topic.
I corrected myself immediately after realising (being reminded) of Russia's impressive bomber fleets. That alone secures them top 3 at the very least. I was only thinking air to air, CAS, and half influenced by ridiculous Reddit propaganda and selective material on VKS performance.
Israel also neglected, certainly up there with UK and France in number of 4, 4.5, and 5 generation fighters in comparison to UK. France should be step below simply for not having any 5th gens in service at all.
India being ranked 3rd is simply absurd. Not a single 5th gen fighter on the horizon (AMCA ages off and doubtful to the nth degree), 36 4.5 gen fighters in total and 4th + 4.5 gen fleet not even half of China's. No bombers, no AWACS of their own and even imported ones are fewer in numbers in all of India than in a single Chinese SIGINT platform equipped airfield. No drones of note or merit (Rustom vs literally more types of UAVs and UCAVs in PLAAF than I can remember). IAF's genuine ranking ought to be below Japan and South Korea. IAF also uses extremely outdated air to air missiles outside of the 36 Rafales. Astra tries to reach AIM-120C/ modern PL-12 levels but only now making an entrance. Air to ground similarly limited in scope and capable platforms and weapons. French, Russia, and Israeli electronics, sensors, platforms, weapons all being integrated. No decent networking and comms between. An utter joke. In an actual war, the IAF would have more problem with logistics and integration of the mass of chaotic platforms than they would against PAF. They'd only be getting somewhere against PAF via sheer firepower and numbers... plus the boost in capability provided by the 36 Rafales.
