My friend, slowly I have enough of your most often funny but in the end simply „chest-bumping“ stupid posts. The Tejas will NEVER EVER carry 8 AAMs AND two Brahmos (in fact none of the current ones).

As such take this as a very clear warning: either your posts must dramatically improve in quality or I‘ll send you on vacation for trolling and reconsider.

Not using a stupid propaganda article, but prove: You claimed it:
... will be capable of carrying 8 BVR missiles on its wings and 2 BrahMos missiles under the belly.
... and you again portrayed as it can thsi at once!

And like I said so often: You again take a report of it can take this and that as if all can be carried at the same time and even more, thsi mystical Brahmos-NG is not yet existant!

As such, stop with this BS, we are not at the PDF - by the way where the spread BS is even more ridiculous! - or take a break!

The same article (written in 2023) also claimed that Tejas Mk. 2 will roll out by next year. Its 2024 now. Where is Tejas Mk. 2?

What propaganda article ? It’s the statement of HAL chairperson and managing director C B Ananthakrishnan, HAL Manufactures Tejas and other aircrafts for Indian Airforce and it’s owned by government of India

We should limit the Indian News thread to current events or operational systems not announcements of the future or make a separate thread for those.
Tejas MK2 did it's first flight ? - cool post some pictures or a video.
Official Big boss says Tejas MK2 will fly in 202X ? - Not interested.

Tejas MK2 just flew with 8 BVR missiles ? - cool post some pictures or a video.
Official Big boss says Tejas MK2 will be able to carry 8 BVR missiles ? - Not interested.

Announcements of the future of the Indian military have an abysmal track record and when 90% of the discussion revolves around those people get tired of it.

I'm not able to take anything coming out of official Indian channels seriously, the fact that a the IAF has already crashed a Tejas just reinforces the point.

Out of all Indian institutions, it seems ISRO is the only one that could be labelled as 'competent'.

To be fair, most flankers can't because they don't have pylons rated heavy enough (and overall their lift capability limitations are about weapon setups to meaningfully load them).
Su-34 can take 3 weapons of this weapon class (and there are reasons to suspect 5), and much higher combat payload capacity in a more or less same aerodynamic design. That came at a price, though - beefing up a spacious airframe came at a significant weight penalty.

Also, forTejas the weapon in question is the much smaller future Brahmos-NG, which is much smaller and lighter.
Two weapon capability is indeed the intent, made possible by the impressive weight-lifting capability of the small fighter.

In practice, this probably will rather mean the capability to fly with 1 big fuel tank + 1 missile to a moderate range...which won't be acted on, unless INAF is in a really desperate situation.
The present air-launched BrahMos missile weighs 2.65 tons, while the BrahMos NG is projected to weigh 1.33 tons. The payload carrying capacity of the Tejas MK1A is 5.3 tons, and for the Tejas MK2, it will be 6.5 tons.

All I hear is "will be"!! Really ... this constant Tejas is the best, Tejas mk2. is even better since it WILL carry some mystical wepons still on the drawing board are BS and totally useless like these wet-dreams, India could put its own radar - oooohhh Uttam is so great since it is Rafale "only" uses currently "Rafales have Gallium Arsenide Aesa Radar", while our "UTTAM is a Gallium Nitride Aesa Radar", which is MUCH BETTER!!! ... and in "ten years we could even re-equip the India-made Rafales with our own engine"

STOP spreading wet-dreams of 15-years old teenagers! It's all useless. What is important is the NOW, and now you have at best a few Mk.1 in service all with exported systems, the Mk.1A is again delayed, still for years dependant on an Israeli radar before Uttam will be added and the Mk.2 is years away and far from secured to be whatever you describe it.

As such again: No more it is better since in X years it will have!
