We Chinese don't take pride in bolstering foreign universities; we take pride in powering our own technology. But Indians can only talk and pretend that they hold up America's top schools because there's no data to prove them right or wrong in America but a plethora to prove them wrong in India. If Indians are so competent, then why is India so poor in economics and technology? Because an Indian needs to fly over the sea to unlock his potential? LOLOL

You guys try your best to get into US universities but you are rejected. There is a huge diaspora of Chinese in west but they are nowhere near Indians in Education, Top positions in Corporates, Research centers, Universities, administration, Big organizations like IMF, World Bank etc. Where is the comparison? What is your achievement outside China inspite of having such a big diaspora outside China.

This is a bad way to 'rationalise' your way out of accepting responsibility for your own failures.

India and China started out 70 years ago in a very similar position, to be exact, India was more developed in terms of highway / railway mileage, however today it still remains a third world country, and stopping far short of what "historic potential" it may have.

The worst part is that when faced with failure, you (meaning the Indian mentality) do not take the opportunity to self reflect, instead, you just use some equivalent of "we didn't want it anyway".

This is why you are 30 years behind China.

You are ahead of US in economy and infrastructure. Remember, you were not much ahead 2 decade ago. You have a totalitarian regime. We are a democracy. While we develop, we have to take into account many concern including Human rights. Our development is targeted in long run and sustain development. It takes some time for democracies to put the things in place but once it is done, their development is wholistic and sustainable. We have put our cards in place and we are fastest growing major economy now and will remain so for many decades. China has grown to its full potential to which their structure can provide. We do not have any limitations. Rise of democracy is like a bamboo in which it takes years to develop its roots inside the soil. When it is done, it grows very rapidly. Likewise, we have put all out things in place and it is the time of rapid rise. We are among the top nation in space science, Nuclear technology, defense etc. You can turn blind eye and deny reality but that can not stop India from progressing rapidly.

Unfortunately, Chinese people have made more achievements for foriegn countries than India has, but I wish it were not true and unlike you, I am not proud of it. India is the most painful case for democracy's inferiority and failure in the world. Whenever there is a debate about China's system vs democracy, there is no comparison because China is much larger and developing more recently compared to Western countries. It would be a draw if not for India: a democracy that has the same population as China, was ecnomically larger than China 60 years ago, but is now a 5th the size of China's economy today with military and technolology nowhere in sight compared to China. China always thanks India for being the proof that democracy is inferior to the Chinese system.

You can turn blind eye and deny reality but that can not stop India from progressing rapidly.

Yes, we do not make our weapons. Kolkatta class destroyer, Arihand class Nuke sub, Akash, AAD, PAD, PDV, Agni 1,2,3,4,5, Shaurya, k4, QR sam, NAG, Hailna, Dhruvastra, Arjun Mk1 , Mk2, Vajra, LCA, MWF etc is made in China.
