Our dream is much bigger than this. We are already a super power in multi polar world where US is a hyper power with atleast half a dozen countries are super power.
One of the reason for Indian figures being low is that car comes very low in the priority of Indians. Good education, Good house, Lavish marriages and other functions takes more priority.

But I don't see evidence of good education (ITT is ranked pretty bad), Indian slums don't really look like good houses, and a wedding is just money spent and gone in a couple of days... So what you got to show for it?

As for export, tiny Hong Kong has bigger export.
As i said, india will never be anything more than a failed call center disguising as a country ,another failed experiment of British empire. We dont take predictions from highly skilled bollywood people seriously.
Better stick with bolly & IT call centers.
As your bf said, there is no competition in between a country & a call center except the desperation from you to get attention. We dont compare ourselves to failed states, our target is much higher
Guys - I understand the desire to poke fun at rival countries based on past and present tensions, but let's take the high ground and avoid common stereotypical nationalist troupes and thinly veiled personal insults. Conversations like this always tend to escalate until the senior mods have to step in with formal actions.
You can criticize and debate India's policies/economy/development/etc without being demeaning.

How would you behave with someone continuously coming in front of you shaking his fat back? I can't be demeaning to someone openly accepting they "compete" for top position without academic credentials, we all know how that works .
, even childs have more academic credentials than them(that's damn right though).How am i demeaning calling them slaves when they are proudly "competing for top position" in that & proud to do so?
