These countries can be linked together other by High Speed Rail Corridor and dedicated freight corridor as well to boost trade and tourism
This looks more like a one way immigration corridor, given the final destination

Been thinking about that as well. Other than materials and agricultural goods, what products would India be trading with those countries that can't be manufactured cheaply domestically? Have any ideas on what India plans to export and import with those countries @Chandragupt ?

The value of trade between India and the ASEAN region amounted to over 78 billion U.S. dollars in fiscal year 2021. The largest portion of this trade came from Singapore, valued at over 21 billion dollars that year. Of the trade between India and Singapore, imports into India had a higher value than its exports.
And it’s not just India which will be using this Corridor Nepal , Bhutan , Bangladesh will use this Corridor as well because these countries surround the Eastern side of India sharing a long border

So India has a trade deficit with Singapore, this is what I'm afraid of. As more of the manufacturing moves to South East Asian countries while India's own manufacturing stagnates due to lack of investment and tech transfer like other users have pointed out. This greater trade connectivity might just result in India taking more trade deficit, creating an imbalance in trade.

Although this is good for both countries, and even the countries in the region as well like China (I don't know why the article thinks it counters China's influence, it actually indirectly helps China's trade connectivity as well), I'd prefer the investment for those infrastructure to go into manufacturing, R&D and worker training instead, so that India can offer more to trade than resources and commodities.

This trade route was functional for thousands of years it needs to be revived it’s true that india has huge trade deficit with ASEAN but that issue can be sorted out by tallks
And it’s a hard fact that if Vietnam is providing better quality product at cheaper rate then why would a consumer want to buy the same product from an Indian manufacturer
A huge number of Indian tourists come to Singapore , Bangkok for healthcare , shopping etc , students come for completing their studies this corridor will create business opportunities and jobs for millions

Agreed, the infrastructure is good for everyone and the old historical trade route between all the countries in the region should be revived and improved upon for the benefit of Eurasia. I'm just worried whether India would be able to handle the diplomatic and economic issues that would arise from the trade deficit.

But its still too early to tell how it will play out, and like you said this would open up plenty of opportunities for both India and the connected country. Wish India and all the countries in the region for the best in the future.
