Simple solution. Import Chinese components via ASEAN countries which India has an FTA from. Just do minimal processing first to claim it isn't made in China, then re-ship it to India.

This story is India's economy in a nutshell. K-shaped recovery with a tiny fraction of the population doing better than ever meanwhile most people are doing no better or even worse than before. Remember this when you come across English-speaking Indians. They do not represent the real middle-class, but rather the elite, regardless of how they present themselves.

Most of us joined when we undergrad or grad students... Like 10-20 years ago. And now mid aged with kids.

Many early members are actually teenagers. There were a poll done back then and quite a few active members were just 10-15 years old.

Indian government again is thinking without using their heads. Just like currency swap, no announcement or a gray period for companies to comply with the new rules. When all companies decided to stop shipping any laptops and tablets, Indian government finally realized they don't have any alternatives so backtrack and delay the implementation of the new rule.
