While I despise the dismissive and arrogant attitude of Sam Altman, he is responding to the equally arrogant and ignorant question of the Indian asker. That Indian asked if India could build a "truly substantial" A.I. from scratch with 3 "super smart Indian engineers" and with only a $10million budget. Sorry India, you may have "super smart engineers", but with a only a pitiful budget of $10million, they are gonna go to other more countries who are more serious in A.I. development. Like maybe, the US or god-forbid, China?

Only India thinks it can become a superpower in everything with pennies budget and a loud mouth.
Someone in the comments was saying that ChatGPT was only possible because an Indian(Microsoft CEO) gave them 10 billion dollars

Xiaomi is being pursued for INR6.8 billion ($82.9 million) in missed customs duty payments for the fiscal years from 2020 to 2022, along with missing GST payments totalling INR1.7 billion between 2017 and the beginning of this month.

The minister reportedly said Xiaomi had paid INR107.6 million of the customs duty fee and INR820.4 million of the GST sum along with some interest payments and penalties.

Oppo is judged to have ducked INR44 billion-worth of customs duties in fiscal 2020 and 2021, with INR4.8 billion recovered, ET reported. The vendor apparently also owed INR6.8 billion in GST, but has repaid INR7.4 billion.

Vivo stands accused of missing customs duty of INR28.8 billion in fiscal 2021 and 2023, some INR1.2 billion of which has been recovered. It also failed to pay INR482.5 million in GST, with INR512.5 million now paid, though ET noted this case is still being worked through.

Indian government policy is a self-defeating one since the country of India has a large swathes of UNEMPLOYED PEOPLE most of whom are young graduates looking to escape their economic conditions, living up to their cultural, societal, and family expectations. I do not understand why India's current government policies is antithetical to its aims of improving Indian economy and becoming the next China as the new manufacturing superpower.

I just finished watching an Al Jazeera 101 East documentary series on India's population explosion. As India claimed the top spot to replace China as the most populous nation on the planet a lot of noise has been made in all forms of media that India's rise to the #1 position population wise will be a boon to its aims of achieving its goals which is to become the next China by calling the recent milestone as "population dividend" I am sorry but having watch the documentary (while it does not provide a complete picture of India's population landscape) I fail to see how India can actually harness the population growth to its advantage when manufacturing industries and other key sectors of the economy around the world are going for digitization, robotization, and the coming utilization of A.I. which means less demand for low skilled workers which has in massive abundance.

In 17:54 mark of the video, the documentary team caught up with India's Rural development minister as he visits a village struggling with high unemployment to deliver a message of concrete plans on providing jobs and development, but to deliver a message of hope, and bragging rights ( India has now surpassed England economically having a bigger GDP) of India's new economic might to the people that seemed confused and unable to relate to the supposed good news when they are struggling to even afford a meal to feed their children and family. As one of the main cast on the documentary said: "If only our politician can understand our pain and create opportunities for us." But the Indian minister is a consummate politician (democratic snake charmer) instead of offering plans on how to improve his people's lives and livelihood, he, instead offers them PROPAGANDA.

The interesting part about the state of India's strategies in reining in their population growth is the passing of the new law where it's designed to penalize women from having no more than 2 children. Any violations of the law will result for that family/women losing welfare, losing voting rights. But some states in India like Bihar are opting to go for a different approach: castration/sterilization of women but only after already having 5 children which defeats the purpose of such approach.

According to the wisdom and genius of the democratically elected/appointed Indian Minister that the reduction of the population must be MUSLIM CENTRIC APPROACH since harmonious society means that 99% of Hindus and only a generous 1% of Muslims can and will bring you that tranquility. Ain't the man super smart? Joke aside, the women in India and their rights have a long way to go to even come close what the women in the evil see see pee have been able to achieve and enjoys.

It's rather comical to see so many western lemmings hype India to no end when that country is rife with many existential issues but are not discussed openly in the west because India does not really pose an existential threat to their western way of life and political choosing. It's also worth noting that regardless of the myriad of issues India face no one in the west talks about India going to collapse ad nauseum, instead the scenes of extreme poverty, dilapidated infrastructures, unsanitary practices in some parts of India are looked upon positively as "VIRTUES OF DEMOCRACY" holy mother of f....g s...t. China on the other hand....we all know the schtick.
