India's concern over this issue is not without merit. However all of this is assuming China is a real future threat. Many around the world genuinely believe this to be.
Yeah for those who believes in that Western narrative that China and all communism is bad. Ask all those African countries, Middle East, and many parts of Asia the same question and they will think the US hegemonic and regime changing ways are more of a threat to them than China.

But China is hardly getting its story out there. It's almost completely silenced in the west. The little bits of its story that make it past the filters, are portrayed as idiotic propaganda from commies. Hardly anyone who is not in the know even bothers with trying to understand this issue from PRC's POV. I don't think CPC is aiming for the wide audience. If they are, they're not doing it correctly. Especially with the racist mocking of Indians in that recent seven sins video. What a travesty.

China is not in the business of satisfying their haters. Only fools believed in that the western media perspectives are all saints and that the whole world should revolve around this "free media". Sadly India in buying into it big time.

The "Indian face" part of that video is shameful and embarassing, marring otherwise valid points. China is both bad at and more restrained with PR/spin/propaganda compared to pretty much everyone else, Western governments and media, Russia, India, etc. This is most true when targeting the average person who doesn't care nor know much about particular issues.

At this point it should be crystal clear that the Modi regime is wholeheartedly on the anti-China bandwagon and trying to steer India as a whole in that direction. India as a whole is not buying it yet and China should not oblige. The Modi regime is also trying to milk any competition/rivalry between China and anyone else for all it's worth, again obviously China should not make it easy and others also have their own constraints and priorities.

Q: Reports from Indian media say that the Japanese Ambassador to India has expressed support to India's stance on the Doklam issue and said no one should change the status quo by force. Some reports also say that the US has called for direct talks between India and China to resolve it. What is your comment?

A: I have noted the relevant reports. The Japanese Ambassador to India is probably eager to speak for India, but I would like to warn him anyway that it's better to make certain of facts before talking irresponsibly. I want to stress several points: first, there is no territorial n Dong Lang, as the delimited Sikkim section of the China-India boundary has been mutually recognized and observed by the two sides for 127 years. Second, it is India, rather than China, that illegally trespassed the boundary in an attempt to make provocations and change the status quo. Third, the Chinese side demands that the Indian side pull out all the illegally-crossing personnel and equipment, and this is the prerequisite and basis for the settlement of this incident and any meaningful dialogue.

If Japan believes that no one should change the status quo by force then they should be opposed to India's actions on the Doklam issue.

Japan just denied that report. I think at this moment Japan is trying not to make China/Japan relation worse. (None of Abe's men visited yasukuni shrine this year, a rare occurrence)

"no one should change the status quo by force" is slamming India's face because India is the only side that changed status quo by force so far. I don't know if that report is reliable or it is one of many false stories coming from the India media

Commenting on Mr Hua Chunying words is even more meaningless than Japanese Ambassador's in India in this case... One is taken into image, the other doesn't behind closed doors after all.

Really, in this day and age, how much weight does Japan carry in the international diplomacy? If UK, France or Germany speaks out, at least people give some attention. Japan? The country does not have an independent foreign policy and command much credibility or respect in that area.

The Abe administration has been following China's footsteps and trails everywhere to make anti-China gestures or comments and try to build anti-China coalition (the so-called "牵制中国" or should I say China-harassment strategy). Does it accomplish anything at all? All it achieves is to show international community that Japan doesn't have a coherent foreign policy and it's there to be anti-China for the sake of being anti-China.

Much like Janiz on SDF, who doesn't usually have much to contribute but emerges from time to time to take some anti-China shots when s/he smells blood.
