You were the one who responded to my post, where I was responding to someone who was talking about Japanese volunteers during WWII, and pointing out that given the discrimination faced by civilian Japanese-Americans during WWII, their military counterparts shouldn't have been expected to fare any better. You then brought up Shinseki, who was born in 1942. Good job.

There is no doubt there is discrimination, always a fault of human nature, yet at the same time, the US Armed Forces is also by paradox, minority friendly because so many minorities join in, that I believe the proportion of minorities in the US Armed Forces might be higher in ratio than in the US general society.

The USN is an example of not reflecting the US population as a whole. The enlisted force of the USN is 42% "Minorities".

Personally I wouldn't care until my family in China is affected, if they are harmed then I don't care if they are Chinese or foreign, they are all going down.
