A large thread about people missing HK at a color revolution sub. Imagine missing HK while living in Singapore, then imagine living in a run-down suburban sprawl in the UK.

How come those roaches don't like living in SG and somehow have this ridiculous fantasies about the more libertine Europe. What aspect does HK offer or have that SG couldn't quite match.

Singapore and HK are similar in the sense that both places are very nice to live in if you are rich. I mean everywhere is nicer to live if you are rich, but this is particularly the case in SG and HK. Singapore in particular, with its low taxes, relatively good food, cleanliness, infrastructure and safety is a fantastic place for loaded foreigners to park their money. You just gotta deal with the shit weather and people.

Well they're definitely right about living in Singapore being miserable @dengyeye the Land of No-Smiles
I visited in the past for a few days and thought it was okayish but i guess the parts i went to seem "quiet" compare to Hong Kong. I talk to a local lady and she hated it too since she said you feels very confining to be stuck in a small country. I never lived in that environment and thought it was werid at the time, but now, i can understand.

I've have only visited both, but SG seems quiet and flat. HK seems larger, has mountains/hills, and from watching too many hk drama/movies... some sense of possible adventure lol.

Singapore is a terrible place if your hobby is taking a leak in the elevator.
Judging from the smells of some places in North America, could be an issue for some…

Hong Kong is much more exciting. And the girls dress better. Nuff said.

Having a wild time in Singapore is an oxymoron.

The way Singaporeans exist like worker ants or cogs in a wheel, it makes me lose faith in humanity. Nothing more than automatons who wear Under Armour as their only sole way of showing off their 'coolness'.
