Jiangsu province has merged some low tier colleges to vocational colleges.

So basically some non-issue made to appear like it's the new June 4th.
Not much, basically those college diplomats are worth very little. But a college just sounds better than vocational college so students are upset about it.
But this issue was or has been resolved already because the local government heed on the concerns not to mention anger from the students and parents who were concerned that such amalgamation would result on lowering the educational prestige of the school which would affect the future employment prospects of the students.
