H-6 Bomber Aircraft Discussions

Captain
Is that real?

Sorry, looks like psed to me. First the color of the missile is with-out varying shades, the white color is too perfectly uniform. Secondly, the most obvious, are the angles of the shadows projected from the bomber's nose cone and wing root against that of of the tip of the missile.

To admit I'm not sure. IMO the image itself is real, if the missile however is a real ASM or maybe only a mock-up for captive teting on the bomber I don't know.

It looks however exactly like an older image we have ... and as such this too seems to be older.

I see that the H-6 pictured has a glass nose which rules out it being the new cruise missile carrying K variant .....

Yeppp ... but I never said so ! If You read the name of the image (maybe when You save it, then it says to be an H-6G PLANAF bird).

By the way via "RAJ47" (CDF) the same aircraft via satellite ! + please note this aircraft is one with the extended wing-tips !

How about these then?

I am not saying the missile is a fake. I said the photo looked psed due to different angle of shadow casted from tip of aircraft's nose cone and wing root vs the shadow of the missile's tip. Shouldn't sunlight travel at a uniform angle and cast a shadow on the ground at the same angle as well?

The angle of the shadow under the intake isn't nearly as great as that under the wing. And assuming the angle of under-wing shadow as the real direction of the light would also make the H-6's nose far longer than we know it to be.

IMO, the angle of the under-wing shadow is due to the sweep of the wing itself and not the direction of the sunlight.
