Well, it just show nothing is wrong with original photo, of course it's same angle on the ground from top view, but thing change in wide-angle camera side view....

I think what he meant was the computer generated image shows that the shadows in the picture is exactly how it should look like due to the wide angle effect of the camera.
I couldn't be sure if that's what he meant since the shadow of the missile in the render doesn't match the one in the image.
But I guess it's close enough.
