If anything the balance of probability is the spear tip planform @Blitzo proposed a while back. It's long enough to accommodate a large HCM, the planform is compatible with ELO, and it's capable of supersonic flight. The J-36 is cranked because of the maneuverability demands on a fighter and those are irrelevant to a bomber.

True. I meant to say “away from traditional / pure flying wing”, really.

Arrow head / diamond, or double delta are the options IMO.

Kind of basically looks like a combination of what we thought the J-XDS and the J-36 would look like in one plane.

Thanks, i definitely missed those at the time. Your drawing of the front fuselage at least was very close to the actual J-36, especially the canopy. I don't think anyone would have been disappointed if J-36 actually looked like your CGI overall. Some uncanny predictions there several days before the SAC and CAC birds were unveiled from people such as @GTI as well.

I'm unsure if I should post this in fan CG thread or here but I created a possible configuration using a slightly steeper wing sweep that would fit in the clearance area of the Neixiang Air Base underground hangar. Of course without much further details this is just mindless speculation. I used the B-21 planform as reference*

This is not fan made art for purposes of entertainment so I think this and others of a similar kind is fine, in the sense that it's part of discussion guided by rumours/relevant imagery and information etc.

It's a more refined and comprehensive version to some of the basic planform drawings myself and others did, and as long as people are aware of the context it's fine

Do we have any idea how long the missiles we’re expecting are?

E.g. do we need IWBs that fit the so-called (don’t know who by) “Beijing Heavy Hammer”?
