Just noticed Huitong has updated his site with an update on the H-20 with this

Not sure what‘s the source or its meaning, but at least after the recent desaster with the alleged „first public appearance“ at Zhuhai, this seems to be more legit!

@huitong … any more info on this?

The illustration was originally posted by @洋务先驱张之洞 on Weibo, with the caption "heavy moisture" (湿气重):

There is one comment underneath his post, asking whether it is a PAK-DA, which he denies to be the case.

Ayi also quote-posted his post, with the caption "concept illustration" (概念图).

Well, judging by @洋务先驱张之洞's recent records, it is reasonable to believe that he may have certain degree of insider information access.

However, the only things that I can confidently say out of this are that:
1. H-20 is real, and
2. H-20 is now in progress and potentially already reached certain stage of development.

And if the above illustration holds any weight - It is also reasonable (based on observations both here in this thread and underneath the posts in Weibo) to believe that the illustration has been drawn erroneously, either accidental (i.e. not having accurate view of the blueprint/aircraft in question) or deliberate (i.e. to conceal the actual characteristics/features of the aircraft).

But more likely, the latter.

This is BS in terms of LO, making all the sense of cranked kite planform usage and edge alignment rules going to null.

As far as I know, that Weibo user is just another ordinary military watcher and not worth fussing over. No need to create news/gossip when there is none.

Allegedly some excerpts from an academic paper on a certain combat aircraft. The author(s) performs the calculations needed to replace the old engines with new domestic engines without having to make major alterations to the airframe (i.e. the intake and exhaust design) in order to reduce development cost. The paper lists a "typical" mission profile as having a 17.2 ton payload with a combat radius of 4500km. This rules out both the H-6 and the Y-20, so it could be the H-20 bomber.

In that case, I do wonder about the reasons for the RQ-180 and CH-7 UAVs to adopt the beak-head flying wing designs, despite being given the strategic/tactical ISTAR role in contested airspaces.
Just a guess... Maybe these drones are defined as an expendable item( considering the danger of reconnaissance missions) so that they don't need to go for extreme stealth?
