If you will look at the bottom pic at placard you will notice another significant difference from Harrier III...as model doesn't have fuselage protruding forward at all and is true FW design. Just my 5 cents though. Main difference between you and me is that I don't read Mandarin at all, and only can guess what placard text is about))

Actually, I guess placard shows the same model we saw at NPU picture at the bottom right corner.

The rumour is not new and even if the J-18 Designation was already "mis"-used for that strange VSTOL-type, here it is again but now with a new CG !

It was rumored that 601/SAC are working on a heavy fighter bomber (J-18?) based on J-16 featuring a twin-seat cockpit similar to that of Russian Su-34 but this has yet to be confirmed.

Ah... wishful thinking on my part. I was thinking about maybe someone posted a blurry pic of JH-XX when I click on this thread. A little disappointed....

The poster on the last photo said it won 3rd price on innovation at the 2rd International UAV competition (held in China). So it is a UAV not a stealth bomber, unless it is a scale down test model of HXX but I am doubtful because that will give away the classified project to the public during the competition.
