Holy smokey !
Seriously if it’s that then the world is in for a shock !!
J20 was in 2012
Y20 was 2013
And Z20 was 2013
Now comes the combination of J20 and Y20 large and stealth H20
What a bomber ! Can’t believe it it will give China global strike
I think we can make an educated guess what kind of weight ballpark B-21 will be in. It'll likely be powered by two non afterburning F135 variant engines, so it'll be a fair bit smaller than B-2, and the aircraft's payload will likely be correspondingly smaller, between 2/3 to half the size of a B-2 (23 tons)
If H-20 does have a range of 12,000 km (combat radius 6,000 km) and a payload of 20 tons (which would be consistent with a four engine non AB WS-10 powerplant arrangement that we've heard about), that would be enough to say that it would likely be greater than B-21 in those regards (but smaller than B-2). Of course, whether H-20 actually has those parameters is another matter.
And of course, having greater range and payload doesn't measure the absolute effectiveness of a bomber either, as both B-21 and H-20 will likely have missions other than being mere bomb/missile trucks.
since you asked me (LOL):Hmmm B21 is not even completed, how does anyone outside of Northrop even know what the actual specs are?
True, while no one knows the actuals, it’s relatively safe to assume the LRSB/B21 would be smaller than the B2 ergo likely less range and payload. It’s also disingenuous to make a comment using those two specifications only since it’s likely a foregone conclusion. That’s like saying the vehicle I’m building is so awesome it will tow more than a Lamborghini Aventador.
Only if it comes as a fact what they're fully sufficient.Range and payload are far from the most important markers of "awesomeness" for a modern bomber. It literally just means H-20 will be bigger than B-21.
Only if it comes as a fact what they're fully sufficient.
Bomber can be as awesome as xyz, but if it can't reach it target with realistic payload and mission profile - it won't do.
