Tragically, I agree with you, and since this is an increasingly common phenomenon at school too, I'm starting to wonder if I'm just getting old or if society is (unfortunately) developing in a different direction. But when a 14-year-old student tries to convince you that on the topic of metals and their properties mercury is a perfume, since Google and AI told her so, and that they both know more than I do since they have the knowledge of the whole internet, then I see a bleak future for us!
