Referencing both the top view and cross-sectional views from the document, it does seem that #6 is actually a frame for #2 (which lays on top of #3 and sandwiching #1 layer in between). The #6 is screwed/bolted/rivetted down and secured to the body of the object through #4 and #5.

#2, #3 and #1 looks to be continuous whole pieces of object. Lacking more helpful information on these illustrations for the time being, the provided illustrations certainly don't look like an engine intake to me.

Per @Crosshairs十字线 on Weibo, the name of the patent document is 《一种飞机座舱风挡玻璃结构 发明专利申请》(Patent Application for an Aircraft Cockpit Windshield Structure).

So yes, the illustration is indeed a cockpit windshield for an aircraft.
