A filed by Northwestern Polytechnical University on an interesting propulsion setup for high-speed helicopters. The exhaust from the turboshaft is used to drive a turbine in the tail, which in turn powers the push propeller. This greatly reduces infrared emissions and improves propulsion efficiency.
