A single vertical tail, instead of the twin angled tails in the V-280. I wonder how that I'd supposed to fold up on the vessel?

In the bottom left corner of the image.

Both ends of the top of the "T" fold down, then the base of the "T" which then has an "I" profile, folds against the fuselage.

Not sure if it would work, and it's just fan made and not official anyway.

Claims that a 2x 7000 shp engine vehicle like the V-280 Valor will replace the Blackhawk with its 2x 2000 shp engines are preposterous.
For comparison, the CH-47 Chinook has 2x 4733 shp engines. The V-280 Valor has more engine power than the Chinook.
The idea it can replace the Blackhawk in the same numbers is sheer nonsense.

Whether V-280 will be able to replace Blackhawk family on a one to one basis, is definitely under question.

But the trend of aircraft in general pursuing more engine power and more weight is definitely a fairly accepted one.
After all, the UH-60 (4000shp total) family did ultimately replace the UH-1 family (1100shp) -- a 3.6x increase.

3.6 x 4000shp is 14500shp, so that actually kind of seems reasonable.

Winning entries in the third Yunlong Cup (云龙杯) Future Helicopter Design Competition.

P.S. I couldn't find a more appropriate thread to put this, so here will have to do.

For the first time since some time some real news in this topic!

Multi purpose and Economical? What purposes? Using the two people working around the 1:1 mock up this would be an incredibly small aircraft. As a demonstration aircraft fine. As a actual practical aircraft for missions other than Observation and training it’s hard to imagine a role the short wings and large propellers mean as an armed aircraft it would be very restricted in external stores. As a transport it’s pretty useless in this configuration.
Why Chinese are not working on Chinook like helicopter?
What role? Chinook’s configuration works well for heavy-Medium to heavy lift. Although there have been attempts at a smaller version the tandem rotor demands a bus body. China has been working to modernize its medium lift and light medium lift. With work on a super heavy primary partnered with Russia and stagnant.

It’s electric, so it could have large batteries in comparison to its size, giving range and silence, it’s clearly a stealth airframe also.

Those propellers look a bit smaller than I would have suspected, so maybe this has a very powerful electric motor.

Given the size and configuration, assuming electric the short wingspan then a flying taxi. Where again I question the utility.
