My, a very interesting revelation by official French sources.

At 11:26, Bruno Revellin Falcoz, the ex-VP of Dassault says the Rafale's frontal radar signature is the same as a sparrow. For comparison, that's similar to the F-22's frontal RCS, that of a metal marble.

Tphuang, AFB, you guys seein' this?

Union labor and R&D is not cheap my friend…..Also the less they sell the more expensive the aircraft :(

I don't think it is just cost of labor. For complex products like aircraft labor cost usually makes just few percents of total expenses. More likely, executives of Dassault want to make huge profit on each unit sold, instead of going with break-even price to capture market .

I don't speak French, but I bet you that those RCS figures are for a clean Rafale (ie: no armament or fuel etc.). If you hang bombs, pods, tanks and other stuff on it, the Rafale still has a RCS numerous times that of a Raptor/ JSF. I'd be more impressed if the SPECTRA really can effectively employ the active cancellation system.

Very dangerous worck, mainly on the deck, sailors do great job ! desserves respect...

A important technical point confirmed by the CO only CV CATOBAR can used her fighters at full capacity...

I don't know how the low RCS was achieved on Rafale. But for an aircraft like Rafale, active cancellation is the way to go.

RCS ofc frontal and also without wepaons naturaly Rafale 0.75 m2, Typhoon 0,5 the best except stealth these square inlets not pretty would be good for it.

In general Fighter 3th generation 3/6, 4th 0.75/3, bombers 10/15 except B-52 100/150 a big truck for a radar :)
Stealth - 0.01 to 0.0001 for F-22 in general a decimal above for the rear portion, B-2 excellent but have a span three times more big as fighters.

Seems B-2 use a plasma system, top secret impossible to be sure

active cancellation
i don' t understand for ECM, plasma you talk ?

i actually don't check this thread normally, because I couldn't care less about the French.

So next time, please do not call me out from here.

And no, the French are going to say things to sell their aircraft. And Looking at Rafale, it is not a stealth aircraft by any reasonable analysis of it. The french don't have so miraculous technology that other people don't have. If the USN super hornets are coming at you with growlers, you won't get a read on it at all. Does that make super hornets stealth aircraft? No. That just means it has strong EW suite that can overpower the radar signals of another fighter jet. Neither is Rafale, it's just simply isn't built like that. No amount of French sales pitch can change the fact.

If I had to rate, I would put its RCS comparable to the other eurocanards and J-10, since they have somewhat similar configurations. I would probably but Rafale ahead of the other delta-canard configuration at least in frontal RCS based on photos. It is probably even better than super hornet, but that's probably close.
