I think this will be it's last deployment before it gets decommissioned for overhaul until 2018...
Still can't believe France is going to have 50 x A-400 transports, such a large order and will give France a huge capability in lift capacity
Only surpassed by Germany who have 53 units on order
Original order books for France was actually 70 unit and Germany's 60 which were cut due to on going delays
For France planed for the next and we were the first delivered, now Sqn I/61 based to Orléans get 6.... and rising costs, unfortunately. My understanding is that also, at least for the german planes, a passive low level terrain following system was removed from the aircraft. I don't really know about other nations, though.
France has already used this aircraft to support operations in Mali.

Yes and planned in some yearsThe 6 aircraft based at Orléans are those first 6 delivered to France and these don't have the terrain following system but it is planed for the future?
PresumablyWill all french aircraft be retrofitted or will only some future A400M get that?
There is a saying in Dutch that can be translated with:19 December
