As I have said about the Osprey program in the past, it has a rich and very active history in front of it. It also had its major detractors who called for its cancellation. And it had its difficulties, as any newly developed technology that you put into production will.

But the US Marines and US military held the course, and now they have an exceptional program that other nations want to evaluate on their own LPDs. Japan is now going to buy some to put on their decks. I would not be surprised to see France do the same at some point.

Which brings me back to once again forecasting that the Joint Strike Fighter will enjoy, ultimately, a similar future if we will simply hold the course.
