Not sure if you're joking but... no. I'm strongly for responding to salami slicing with doing some of our own salami slicing. Killing Pelosi is the last option, as that would most likely start a war with the US.
Also Pelosi is just terrible. Legit terrible. That Onion article is not actually too off the mark.

Just like how Trump turned out to be terrible for the US, Pelosi's existence basically means the US will never do anything to try and fix fundamental problems they have.

I've made this comment before but every time the status quo changes there's a chance of a US resurgence.

I will say China's had a really good record of coming out of these status quo changes but why roll the dice (even if its stacked in your favor) when you can maintain the status quo where you're winning?

What the Former French Amb. to the UN and the US just said 10 mins was interesting.

The Trump administration had substantially increased the level of US political contacts with Taiwan. Biden has invited the Taiwan delegate to his inauguration. All these unilateral changes of the status quo are feeding Chinese nervousness and calling for a reaction.

When you look at it this way then there is a good reason why China is reacting this way. The US is pushing to change the status quo and without a doubt looking to push for Taiwan independences.

Didn’t pay much attention to Biden inauguration. Was not aware they invited a delegation from Taiwan to attend and then combine the 3 times he said the US will defend Taiwan. The Americans are definitely planning something and Pelosi visit most likely has Biden blessing.

Haha yeah I'll be back to posting soon enough. This whole hospital nonsense is pretty draining, and I've been putting a lot of my effort into that project with Tempest. The video portion alone is slated to have 23 episodes, some of which are probably gonna end up being over an hour long - and that's just one portion of the project (hopefully episode 0 will be released within the week). As such, I don't have a whole lot of time (or energy, tbh) to write the same amount I typically do.

(Don't tell Tempest about the attachment :p)

What is that? Is it a YouTube series? If so, what channel?

Is this plane still carrying Pelosi?

Meanwhile, currently the previously reported C-17 is nowhere to be found in the Iwakuni area. Either the C-17 has landed in one of the airbases nearby, or the pilot has turned off the C-17's transponder.

Yes, she just issued a press release stating that she spent her day touring Pearl Harbor and is now on her way to Asia. No mention of Taiwan in the press release.

Washington, D.C. – Speaker Nancy Pelosi is leading a Congressional delegation to the Indo-Pacific region, including visits to Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea and Japan. The trip will focus on mutual security, economic partnership and democratic governance in the Indo-Pacific region.

“Today, our Congressional delegation travels to the Indo-Pacific to reaffirm America’s strong and unshakeable commitment to our allies and friends in the region,” Speaker Nancy Pelosi said. “In Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea and Japan, our delegation will hold high-level meetings to discuss how we can further advance our shared interests and values, including peace and security, economic growth and trade, the COVID-19 pandemic, the climate crisis, human rights and democratic governance. Under the strong leadership of President Biden, America is firmly committed to smart, strategic engagement in the region, understanding that a free and flourishing Indo-Pacific is crucial to prosperity in our nation and around the globe.”

Speaker Pelosi continued, “After a fuel stop in Hawaii, we were honored with a briefing from USINDOPACOM Leadership, as well as a visit to the Pearl Harbor Memorial and the USS Arizona. Our Members paid our respects to the valiant Servicemembers who perished in the brutal attack on Pearl Harbor. Throughout our travels, we will continue to convey the endless gratitude of Congress and the Country for our brave U.S. Servicemembers stationed abroad, whose service makes the region and world more stable and safe.”

“It is my privilege as Speaker to lead this distinguished group of Members, which includes Chairs of Committees and Subcommittees of jurisdiction and champions of a strong U.S.-Asia Pacific partnership,” Speaker Pelosi said. “We look forward to productive meetings that will continue to inform Congress’s work to advance our values and interests and strengthen our partnerships in the region.”

Quoting one of the sentences:
Speaker Nancy Pelosi is leading a Congressional delegation to the Indo-Pacific region, including visits to Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea and Japan.

Notice the word "including". That means Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea and Japan are very likely not the only destinations for her Asia trip, as other countries in the region could also be included.

Most importantly, Taiwan can also be included as well. Hence, the situation remains fluid. Pelosi visiting Taiwan is still very much a real possibility.

Until Pelosi's plane leaves Asia and heading back to the US, no conclusion can be made.
