Technically speaking, Fujian is basically an enlarged Shandong with ski jumps removed and EMCATs laid in place. Hence Fujian still has visible lineages from the STOBAR carriers of Soviet (or largely Soviet) origin.

Besides, those eight YJ-83 launchers can be replaced with eight YJ-62 launchers.

Big Bun CG on Weibo did just that, along with the additional retrofit of swapping the original radar and sensor systems with that of the 054B FFGs.

Of course, only if the PLAN doesn't plan to retire them in the near future and having their hull numbers taken up by the 2nd batch 055 DDGs.

3. With intakes that are even smaller than those on the B-21 - Unless powered by rocket engines or magic, this thing ain't flying.
