What some people thought when they first saw the 054B FFG returning from sea trials at Shanghai:







This FFG looks Russian XD

Several people in Russia have discussed buying surface ships from China before. Right now Russia does not have large 7.5 MW diesels like those in the Type 054B. Even the largest diesels on the drawing board have like 6MW power. The ones currently available being more like 4 MW power. So building something like this is basically impossible for the Russian naval industry. Let alone in these timescales.

But China won't be selling these to Russia near term I think. It would just cause too much hassle with the combined West which China is not interested in right now.

Because of Russia's strength in gas turbines the production of the Project 22350M with four gas turbines is more likely. Basically a ship the size and displacement of the Udaloy class destroyers with a similar propulsion scheme.

Hell yeah, now with the limited-edition mantou-shaped 100mm gun turret on the 054AG FFG!

Just wanna showcase this Type 79 SMG model that I'm porting from Nexusmods to Garry's Mod, still WIP, as I gotta port some optics and laser sights to this gun.
