An artist's impression of a new MBT, not to be taken seriously, but it's nonetheless interesting to share.

What if the H-6Ks can be made to carry PL-17s and become ULRAAM trucks, i.e. firing PL-17s at enemy warplanes from standoff distances while being guided by allied AEW&C aircrafts and/or fighters? Every H-6K can carry 18 PL-17s, with the 6 underwing hardpoints each carrying 3.

Honestly not a bad idea, given how this has the potential in complementing one of the J-16's present functionalities as an (U)LRAAM trucks rather well.

Although, I believe this would only work with ULRAAMs (i.e. AAMs with ranges of 400/500 kilometers and above). Anywhere less than that, and the non-VLO H-6Ks would be vulnerable to LRAAMs currently/soon-to-be deployed by the opposing sides (AIM-260, Meteor and Astra 3).
