Two designs for compact nuclear CATOBAR carriers with simultaneous launch and recovery that I made. The reason for nuclear power is mainly to save deck space by removing the need for a large island with smoke stack.
Design one:
Length: 666 feet.
Beam: 130 feet.
Waterline beam: 90 feet.
Tonnage: 30,000 tons.
Speed: 25+ knots.
Complement: 12-16 medium fixed wing aircraft or drones. 4-6 helicopters. 8+ smaller drones.
Parking space on deck for 8 fixed wing aircraft or drones. 2 helicopters. 4+ smaller dones.
Design two with more sea worthy bow and more parking space:
Length: 666 feet.
Beam: 180 feet.
Waterline beam: 90 feet.
Tonnage: 35,000 tons.
Speed: 25+ knots.
Complement: 16 medium fixed wing aircraft or drones. 4-8 helicopters. 12+ smaller drones.
